Dobson takes breakout Mt Gambier win

Tasmanian Shaun Dobson has taken the biggest win of his career at the Mount Gambier round of the Easter Trail, leading home a quality field.
Dobson has been considered one of the youngsters most likely to make a name for themselves on the national scene for much of this season and he proved that emphatically in Mount Gambier.
The only challenge he had was a collision late in the 30-lap affair with South Aussie Ryan Jones. It damaged the left rear shock on his car, but it didn’t faze the Tasmanian as he charged towards the chequers.
Victorian, Jamie Veal was second and Warrnambool racer, Darren Mollenoyux third. Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic winner – Steven Lines – was running solidly in the top three before the engine in his Monte Motorsport machine failed.
