Todd Kelly tops first practice in Hamilton

Todd Kelly has topped the first session of V8 Supercars competition at the Hamilton street track.
The Jack Daniel’s Racing driver set the early pace, beating Jim Beam Racing’s Steve Johnson.
The new chicane on the back straight saw a large number of ‘short-cuts,’ with Ford drivers Tony D’Alberto and Jonathon Webb registering nine infringements each.
V8 Supercars Australia will decide at the end of today if the chicane’s beckon system will remain in place.
The second V8 Supercars practice session will be held at 12.35pm NZT.
