Marcus Marshall to make V8 Ute debut

Marcus Marshall will compete in the second round of the Auto One V8 Utes Series at Barbagallo Raceway in two weeks time.

Marshall, who was recently announced as Garry Rogers Motorsport’s V8 endurance driver, will compete in the Auto One-backed celebrity entry.

It will be Marshall’s debut in the V8 Ute Series and he will drive the Jason Gomersall-owned Ute.

Marshall is no stranger to driving different types of cars, having competed in Formula Fords, Carrera Cup, V8 Supercars and Champ Cars.

The Gold Coast-resident will get his first taste of V8 Ute power at Eastern Creek tomorrow in a test session.

At the Clipsal 500 V8 Ute race, former touring car stalwart Charlie O’Brien drove the Auto One car, finishing eighth for the round.

The Auto One V8 Utes supports the Trading Post Perth Challenge at Barbagallo Raceway on April 29-May 1).
