FIRST PICS: Jonny Reid’s silver bullet

Andy McElrea Racing has unveiled Jonny Reid’s striking Carrera Cup machine ahead of the category’s return this weekend at the Australian Grand Prix.

Already dubbed the ‘Simjen Silver Bullet,’ the chrome livery will be hard to miss at Albert Park.

Simjen CEO Simon James is looking forward to his company’s first foray into Australian motorsport.

“Wow. The race car looks awesome and we are just stoked with the whole operation,” he said.

“We’ve got a competitive driver in Jonny Reid, the Giltrap Group is on board as well which is fantastic, plus the infrastructure and experience of Andy McElrea Racing.

“All the ingredients are there for a competitive year.  We’ll be pumping Simjen Racing and the Porsche Carrera Cup with our extensive resources. We’re excited and right behind our team and the category big time.”
