Former GT Championship and Targa Tasmania winner Greg Crick is close to announcing a new two-year naming rights sponsorship deal for his VodkaO Australian GT Dodge Viper entry.
The Tasmanian category veteran will confirm the new sponsorship in Adelaide next week prior to the opening round of the Australian GT Championship.
In a program brokered by Brian Lawrence of Prestige Sports Management, the new sponsorship will see not one but two major players back in the sport at the frontline on Crick’s V10-powered Viper.
“We are privileged to have these global corporates on board for the next two years at least,” Crick said.
“Our crew have worked hard over the off season to upgrade the Dodge Viper to the latest GT specs.
“Adelaide, like all circuits, has its challenges and despite not having had time to test the Viper, we are confident of a good start to the Vodka O Championship.”
Despite the lateness in announcing the sponsorships, Lawrence is excited about the new opportunities presented Crick’s new partners.
“Greg and his team have proven their worth in this competitive championship,” he said.
“We have researched the market to ensure we have new business and networking opportunities that are compulsory in this business to ensure mutual success.”
The GT Championship supports the V8 Supercars at the Clipsal 500, kicking off next Thursday on the Adelaide streets.
