V8 drivers experience thrilling Ferrari World
Jamie Whincup and James Courtney on the Formula Rosso Roller Coaster
V8 Supercars stars have enjoyed the ride of a lifetime at Ferrari World on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi today.
Reigning V8 Supercars Champion James Courtney and his main rival Jamie Whincup sat in the front seat of the world’s fastest roller coaster – the Formula Rosso Roller Coaster – and they both had some choice words to say about the experience.
“Oh yeah, that was good,” Whincup said.
“That was gnarly, that was good, that was awesome,” said Courtney as he hoped off the Ferrari machine.

Ferrari World was one of three press engagements today for the V8 Supercars drivers.
A handful of drivers played games of beach volley ball and soccer with media representatives on Abu Dhabi’s stunning Corniche beach foreshore.
The beach sports was followed by Ferrari World this afternoon before four V8 Supercars drivers will duke out it out in a drag race-off tonight. Tim Slade (Lucky 7 Racing), Karl Reindler (Fair Dinkum Sheds Racing), Jonathon Webb (Mother Racing) and Dean Fiore (Triple F Racing) will compete against each other in real drag racing cars at the Yas Marina Circuit.
The V8 Supercars kick into action proper tomorrow at the Yas Marina Circuit with four practice sessions.
