The Toll Holden Racing Team has finalised its third test day in four days as the crack Holden squad prepares for an all-out assault on the V8 Supercars Championship at Abu Dhabi next weekend.
The factory Holden team went straight from Eastern Creek to its traditional testing circuit Winton, laying down two days at the rural circuit.
The back-to-back tests has given team recruit James Courtney time to find his feet with the team – and new team-mate Garth Tander.
Both drivers said their relationship – with their cars and each other – is progressing better than expected.

“The most important thing has been for James and I (to work together),” Tander said.
“For James, specifically, to work with the engineers in the team and understand how everyone works. And to see how James explains things versus how I explain things and whether we are speaking a common language – and it seems like, straight up, we are.
“We’ve got a lot of things done early in the relationship and it’s probably going better than we could have hoped for.”
Courtney was also complimentary of the new working relationship with Tander.
“We’ve been getting a long really well,” he said.
“We’re both really driven, determined characters. He’s achieved a lot. He’s been in the championship every year that I’ve been here. I respect him for what he has done.”
Also testing at Winton with the Toll Holden Racing Team was the Bundaberg Racing Commodore of Fabian Coulthard, as well as the team’s junior driver Nick Percat.
