Lowndes, along with all of the V8 Supercars stars, is at the Sydney circuit today, running an all-in test session to kick off the 2011 V8 Supercars Championship.
It is the first time the V8 Supercars have been at Eastern Creek since 2008 when the category last held a championship round.
Both Lowndes and his endurance driving team-mate Mark Skaife have completed laps in the #888 TeamVodafone Commodore VE today.
