Whincup: Titles in both makes would be huge

Jamie Whincup can make history this year, if he can win a third-straight V8 Supercars Championship Series.
Whincup would become the first person to win consecutive V8 titles in different makes of cars.
In 2008/09, he won in Ford Falcons. This year, the Triple Eight team has switched to Holden Commodores.
In this round’s edition of Speedcafe’s exclusive V8 Race Guide, the TeamVodafone star says that winning consecutive V8 titles would be “out of control.”

“To win in both would mean everything,” Whincup told Speedcafe.com.au.
“To come away with the championship would be something out of control. It would be amazing.
“It hasn’t happened yet. We’ve still got to fight extremely hard to the end, but we’re still in with a shot, and that’s a big thing at the moment.”
