The Pink campaign has won two prestigious awards

V8 Supercars’ 2010 brand campaign featuring international superstar Pink has won two awards at the prestigious Promax Awards.

The V8 Supercar campaign received gongs for the ‘Best Sports Promo Category’ and the ‘Best Sports Event Promo Category’ for its applications as a Seven Neetwork on-air cross-promotion with the sport.

The Promax Awards recognise excellence in promotion, branding, advertising and marketing in electronic and broadcast media in Australia and New Zealand.
V8 Supercars Australia secured international music sensation Pink as the sport’s ambassador from 2010 (through to 2012) as part of its Greatest Show on Wheels brand campaign.
“It is the biggest campaign, by a long, long way, that V8 Supercars has embarked on and has paid handsome dividends with the international acclaim it has received,” V8 Supercars Australia Chairman Tony Cochrane said.
“To receive, through Seven, these two prestigious awards is again recognition of V8 Supercars as a market leader and innovator.

“The Greatest Show on Wheels campaign has been a massive success on all counts.”

The television commercial featured Pink’s hit song ‘Let’s Get The Party Started’ and was directed by world-renowned Hollywood music video director Dave Meyers. V8 drivers that appeared in the clip included Jamie Whincup, Will Davison, Rick Kelly, Mark Winterbottom, Fabian Coulthard and James Courtney.
