REVEALED: Morris unveils Love Machine
It will be hard to miss Paul Morris’s Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series entry at Townsville next week – the car is pink!
To promote his family-owned Sirromet ‘LOVE’ style of sparkling red and white wine, Morris is entering his Commodore VE as ‘The LOVE Machine.’
Morris told Speedcafe.com.au that because Queensland is such a big market for his wine brand, the team is having a big presence at the Townsville street track.
“The car is all pink for Sirromet LOVE – it’s The LOVE Machine!” he said.
“The car’s nearly ready to go. The crowd were great last year and I’d expect the same again this year. I’m looking forward to having a run. Queensland is a major market for Sirromet. It’s a good opportunity to promote the brand. We’ve got a fair bit of stuff going on up there.”
Morris is looking forward to returning to a track which he thinks is perfectly suited to V8s.
“I think the track is awesome, especially because the crowd is so close,” he said.
“It’s kind of like going to the Gold Coast race but without having the walls as close. If you look at the design of the circuit, it has been made for our cars, but unlike the Gold Coast, it doesn’t have all those kerbs, which has been designed for open wheelers. It makes the Townsville track great to drive on.”
