McLaren and Mercedes show Red Bull the way


Lewis Hamilton was fastest today in China
Mercedes-powered Formula 1 cars have dominated the second practice session at Shanghai, China today ahead of the fourth round of the F1 World Championship this weekend.
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton has ended the second session on top of the time tables, more than 0.2s clear of Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg. Hamilton set a time of 1:35.217s.
Australian GP winner and defending world champ Jenson Button was third ahead of Rosberg’s team-mate Michael Schumacher.
The Red Bull pair of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber were fifth and sixth ahead of Adrian Sutil (Force India), Jamie Alguersuari (Toro Rosso), Robert Kubica (Renault) and Fernando Alonso (Ferrari).
Alonso’s team-mate Felipe Massa was 11th.
Sebastien Buemi, who was involved in the spectacular suspension failure in the first session, did not take part in the session.
