New local entrant confirmed for Formula Ford
Shae Davies will compete in the next round of the Australian Formula Ford Championship at Queensland Raceway
Queenslander Shae Davies will make his Australian Formula Ford Championship debut in the next round of the series at Queensland Raceway later this month.
The 20-year-old will compete in his first national round after winning on debut in the Queensland state round recently.
Davies will race with renowned Formula Ford team BF Racing and plans to race at all three Queensland Formula Ford rounds (Queensland Raceway, Townsville in July and Surfers Paradise in October).
“It’s an intensely exciting time for myself and the team,” he said.
“We hope to give the Queensland round a good crack and walk away with some valuable experience.
“The main goal for the three national rounds will be to gain some good experience that will hopefully aid in my full-time national series debut in 2011.”
Round 2 of the Ford Genuine Parts Australian Formula Ford Championship at Queensland Raceway will be held on April 30-May 2.
