The V8 Supercars are piled up at Abu Dhabi!
In motor racing-speak, ‘piled up’ usually refers to a big accident, but in this case, Speedcafe is simply saying that the cars are on top of each other!
As all of the teams and drivers dock into the Middle East, the cars are ready and waiting in pit lane.
Will Davison, already in Abu Dhabi acclimatising for the weekend, says that the racing will be a ‘must-watch’ at the track.

“The Yas Marina Circuit is spectacular and our V8 Supercars will look amazing under lights,” said the reigning Bathurst Champion.
“The circuit is quite challenging, flowing in sections, tight in parts. The flowing first sector heads into a really slow corkscrew section, which is quite steep on the elevation drop, before leading into some big straights. It has a bit of everything, including a couple of good chicanes.
“The racing will be full-on, as good as anywhere, with a lot of potential for side-by-side racing for long periods of laps – it’s going to be great racing.”
Four practice sessions will be held on Thursday before qualifying and racing – under lights – on Friday and Saturday.
