Contesting the Toyota 86 Racing Series this year for the second time, Cameron Crick is looking forward to the busy year ahead, having teamed up with the Sieders Racing team for his 2017 series campaign.
After finishing an impressive 14th place overall in last year’s Toyota 86 Racing Series out of 46 competitors, Crick is heading into the 2017 running of the five-round series with added confidence, after joining forces with the experienced Sieders Racing outfit, who have brought a significant wealth of knowledge to the table.
Launching the series with a recent test session at Sydney Motorsport Park, Crick and his team took plenty of positivity from the performance of the car and are eager to see what Crick can do when he takes to the track for the opening round of the series in April.
“I couldn’t be happier to have teamed up with Sieders racing for the 2017 Toyota 86 Racing Series,” expressed Crick.
“Having them in my corner definitely gives me the confidence I need in order to push for better results this year, and the experience they have will no doubt be a key factor in achieving that.
“It’s such a competitive series and you really need to be on the pace from the outset, so we’ll be focusing on improving our consistency and qualifying speed throughout each of the five rounds.”
In addition to signing with major sponsor Clintons Toyota earlier this year, Crick has also had three other sponsors in Plus Fitness, O’Neill Civil Pty Ltd and A+T Puckle Electrical come on board to support this year’s Toyota 86 Racing Series campaign.
“I’m very grateful to have welcomed a number of new sponsors on board this year,” added Crick.
“All of the support we receive plays an integral part in the team’s success, and it’s great to have such fantastic sponsors bolstering our efforts in this year’s Toyota 86 Racing Series.”
Heading into the series with better track knowledge and familiarity, Crick will be hoping to improve on last year’s 14th-place result and will be aiming to be a consistent front-running contender.
The opening Toyota 86 Racing Series round will be the Phillip Island SuperSprint, which will be held at Phillip Island Racing Circuit on April 21-23.
Crick would like to thank his major sponsor, Clintons Toyota, for their valued support throughout the 2017 Toyota 86 Racing Series, along with his other series sponsors: Plus Fitness, O’Neill Civil Pty Ltd, A+T Puckle Electrical, HDSA Group, Stockwell International, EWP Plant Hire, All Access Haulage, Adtrans Hino, Pro Axle Australia, ELK Security, SportsArt, Pitman Trucks, Direct Steel Traders, Muscat Trailers, Fuchs Lubricants, Creative Signworx, and Designed By Kaity.
