V8 Supercars Championship contenders Jamie Whincup and Will Davison have led a small group of drivers in a skydiving stunt to promote October’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 today.
TeamVodafone’s Whincup and Trading Post FPR’s Davison were joined by The Bottle-O Racing’s David Reynolds, Jim Beam Racing’s Steven Johnson and local media for the stunt on the Gold Coast.
The quartet expressed a mix of excitement and trepidation before the stunt as they traded comments on social networking website Twitter.
Carrera Cup driver Daniel Gaunt also got in on the Twitter banter, writing to his housemate and close friend Reynolds: “can I have the tv if it goes pair shaped”.
The Armor All Gold Coast 600 will take place on October 19-21.
Just one of the international co-driver seats for the race remains unconfirmed following announcements this week from both the Holden Racing Team and Tekno Autosports.
