Nick Foster will join Gulf Racing for the 2017 World Endurance Championship

Australian Nick Foster will graduate to the FIA World Endurance Championship after securing a GTE Am drive with Gulf Racing.

The 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup Australia champion will join fellow PCCA alumni Ben Barker and team principal Mike Wainwright in a Porsche 991 RSR.

Foster spent last year in Carrera Cup Germany, finishing fifth in the championship which he started with Team 75 Bernhard before switching to Konrad Motorsport.

“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to compete in the 2017 WEC and can’t wait for it to kick off!”, said the 25-year-old.

“To compete in the WEC is a dream come true and in the famous Gulf Racing colours is an absolute honour.”

Britons Barker, who is now a Gold rated driver, and Wainwright made their WEC debuts along with the team last year.

The WEC Prologue, which this year moves to Monza, will be held from April 1-2 before the 6 Hours of Silverstone opens the season proper from April 14-16.
