The Algarve Pro Racing LMP2 team has snatched the 2016/17 Asian Le Mans Series title after a dramatic final round at Sepang.
The #25 JSP2 Nissan driven by Australian Aidan Read, Andrea Roda and Andrea Pizzitola won the four-hour affair with more than a lap to spare.
It was the squad's only win in the four-round series.
A collision on the opening lap saw the #35 Jackie Chan DC Racing machine of previous round winners Ho-Pin Tung, Gustavo Menezes and Thomas Laurent eventually retire after just eight laps.
The #35 went into the round with a 19-point lead over the Algarve crew.
The Tockwith Motorsports JSP3 Ligier driven by Brits Phil Hanson and Nigel Moore won the LMP3 class after finishing fourth outright.
Team Audi Korea, spearheaded by ex-F1 and Supercars driver Alex Yoong won the GT Class while the DH Racing Ferrari 488 took the championship despite finishing fifth in the category for drivers Stephane Lemeret, Michele Rugolo and Matthieu Vaxiviere.
