Kevin Magnussen has been cleared to compete in this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix after passing an FIA medical examination.
The Renault driver was required to undertake the fitness test after suffering a high speed crash on the exit of Raidillon during the Belgian Grand Prix last Sunday.
The 23-year-old limped away from the wreckage but was cleared of serious injury after scans at a nearby hospital revealed he sustained bruising and a small cut to his ankle.
After being released from hospital he returned to his Denmark home this week before successfully completing further medical tests.
Renault has made its spare chassis available for Magnussen after his car sustained extensive damage in the crash.
