Toyota are in control of the Le Mans 24 Hour after duelling with Porsche through the first third of the classic.
Stephane Sarrazin in the #6 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 held sway over the #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid of Neel Jani.
The #1 Porsche driven by Timo Bernhard had been placed second until overtaken by the sister car just short of the eight hour mark.
Webber had held the lead for four hours in the #1 Porsche until Toyota caught a break with a slow zone, giving the Japanese marque an edge in their pit sequence.
However with Brendon Hartley at the wheel, the #1 Porsche was dealt a blow at just over eight hours as it underwent major repairs in the garage.
Kazuki Nakajima was in close attendance in the #5 Toyota Hybrid in fourth place while Audi were fifth through Lucas di Grassi in the #8 R18 e-tron quattro.
Audi saw its #7 with Benoit Treluyer at the helm wheeled into the garage for major repairs after earlier in the race having a turbo replaced. It remained in seventh place.
The #8 Audi was then called into the garage for repairs, ultimately putting it a lap down, one place behind the #13 Rebellion.
In LMP2, Pierre Thiriet was in control in the #46 Oreca Nissan from the Alpine Nissan driven by Nicolas Lapierre.
Dirk Muller showed the way in GTE Pro in the #68 Chip Ganassi Racing Ford GT ahead of the Ferrari 488 driven by Giancarlo Fisichella.
Richard Westbrook, who is sharing the #69 Ford GT with Ryan Briscoe and Scott Dixon, is third.
Pedro Lamy has staged an concerted attack to grab the lead in GTE Am in the #98 Aston Martin V8 Vantage narrowly from Patrick Long in the Porsche RSR.
