Seven-time World of Outlaws sprintcar champion Donny Schatz will begin his Australian tour at Archerfield Speedway on Boxing Day.
The 38-year-old American is heading to Australia once again to contest six events beginning with the Supercheap Auto USA Series held at the Brisbane track from December 26.
Schatz, who picked up 31 World of Outlaws victories on his way to his seventh crown this year, will also compete in the Enzed World Series Sprintcars Australian Open held from January 9-10.
Heading to Australia off the back of arguably his most successful season, the North Dakota racer is eager to continue his winning streak in Queensland.
Last year Schatz won all six of his races contested at Archerfield Speedway including the coveted Australian Open.
“My 2015 season was huge and it started with me winning all six races in Brisbane last year and then to have the best season in my career was pretty amazing,” said Schatz.
“I’m really looking forward to having a great time at Audsek Archerfield Speedway.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our winning streak and having a chance at winning another Australian Open, but there are a lot of good cars that we are going to be competing with.
“I know Andrew Scheurle has been on his game there already this season. We’re looking forward to competing with all the drivers over at Archerfield and we’re hoping we can win some races. We’ll try our best… that’s all we can do.”
