Force India is in discussions with British sports car giant Aston Martin which could see the team rebranded.
The Silverstone based outfit has been reported to be at an advanced stage in their negotiations with Aston Martin, which last competed as an F1 constructor in 1960.
Force India boss Vijay Mallya has confirmed talks with the firm are underway although a deal is yet to be agreed.
“We are in discussions, nothing has been finalised,” said Mallya when asked about the Aston Martin talks in the FIA press conference.
“We have many options and I will be able to confirm or otherwise when I have something to say. I don't like to count my chickens before they hatch.”
Force India's current engine supplier Mercedes holds a five percent stake in Aston Martin.
The British firm was linked to a return to F1 with Red Bull earlier this season.
