Episode 11 of the Crimsafe Endurance Countdown takes a look at the trials and tribulations of the Holden Racing Team.
HRT’s preparations were thrown into turmoil on practice day at Eastern Creek last month when James Courtney suffered two broken ribs and a collapsed lung after being clouted by pit garage hoardings.
Lucky not to have sustained more serious injury, Courtney was hospitalised for several days.
Courtney was then ruled out of Sandown soon after he returned to his Gold Coast residence in a painful road journey.
His place at the Wilson Security 500 will be taken by veteran Russell Ingall who will join co-driver Jack Perkins.
The reshuffle has sent the Clayton squad an unexpected challenge as Garth Tander is looking to reignite his stocks with Warren Luff alongside him in the #2 Commodore.
Luff talks about HRT’s plight alongside SpeedcafeTV host Ben Beazley.
