Frenchman Sebastien Ogier will lead the field away at the ceremonial start as the entry list has been finalised for Coates Hire Rally Australia at Coffs Harbour.
The 10th round of the World Rally Championship from September 10-13 sees 27 entries which are topped by 11 outright WRC cars.
Ogier will be seeking his third consecutive win at Rally Australia as he hones in on a trifecta of WRC crowns.
Volkswagen’s star will spearhead a three-pronged Polo WRC attack along with Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen.
As previously reported Hyundai will see Hayden Paddon switch with Dani Sordo to run the #8 i20 with Thierry Neuville in the customary #7 while the Spaniard switches to the #20 satelitte N Motorsport entered Hyundai.
The outright field is rounded out by Citroen’s Kris Meeke and Mads Ostberg while M-Sport’s Fords will be handled by Elfyn Evans and Ott Tanak.
Italy’s regular WRC2 runner Lorenzo Bertelli will complete the outright class by running a lone privateer Ford Fiesta WRC.
Bertelli has been forced to withdraw from this weekend’s Rally Germany due to illness after struggling to complete the reconnaissance runs.
Also included in the WRC field are some of the biggest names in the East Coast Bullbars Australian Rally Championship – Eli Evans, Molly Taylor, Tony Sullens, Adrian Coppin, Mark Pedder and Ashlea James, with Peter Dunn, Rhys Pinter and Stephen Raymond rounding out the entry list.
