Citroen driver Kris Meeke has made it to the start of Rally Poland despite a spectacular rollover on the first corner of the event’s shakedown.
Meeke suffered a violent roll when he and co-driver Paul Nagle were attempting to negotiate an innocuous left-hander at the start of the stage.
The team’s chief engineer Didier Clément said the car did not suffer any structural damage, despite rolling seven times in the incident.
“With the FIA checks complete we are able to make repairs to make it like new again. It will be completely ready for Stage one this afternoon,” said Clément.
