DJR Team Penske has shown off the V8 Supercar that Marcos Ambrose will drive on Monday's ride day at Barbagallo.
Ambrose will have his first V8 Supercars laps since Albert Park on the ride day, driving a second car alongside the MTU backed Scott Pye entry.
The Ambrose car was driven by Pye in last year's championship and has not raced since the 2014 Sydney 500.
It has recently been upgraded to FG X specification and remains a registered race car alongside the two chassis that have been campaigned as the #17 during the season to date.
DJRTP has released images of the car to its Team Mates members this afternoon.
“With rotating liveries from round to round, we needed an “all-purpose” livery to use to represent the team and to don the show car,” said managing director Ryan Story in the Team Mates newsletter.
“The livery uses the same core lines/stripes and by using the team logo it is instantly recognisable as one of our cars.”
Ambrose and Pye will run hot laps for a number of the team's corporate partners and platinum-level Team Mates members on Monday.
Pye will be behind the wheel of the MTU entry for the entire race weekend, with the team electing against installing Ambrose for co-driver laps on Friday.
