Triple Eight takes you behind the scenes of the creation of its Holden Sandman V8 Supercar ride car in this video.
The car, built out of the team’s 888-032 chassis that Jamie Whincup used during the early phase of the 2013 season, made its public debut at the recent Castrol Gold Coast 600.
In addition to its rear canopy, the car features a pneumatic paddle-shift-operated version of the standard V8 Supercars gearbox and a fly-by-wire throttle system.
The team hopes that its work on the fly-by-wire throttle will assist the category in eventually moving to the technology.
