The Dunlop Series will feature on the bill of the season opening Clipsal 500 held on the Adelaide streets next year.
The second tier V8 Supercar class will join a bumper supports package comprising eight categories for the prestigious event at the Adelaide Parklands circuit from February 26-March 1.
The influx of two international categories to the support bill in the form of Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks and the Ferrari Asia Pacific Challenge had left the Dunlop Series without a berth at the meeting.
However, having been a regular feature at the Clipsal 500, event CEO Marc Warren says the Dunlop Series is a welcomed addition to the line up.
Australian GT, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, V8 Utes and Touring Car Masters will also feature on the supports schedule.
“The Dunlop Series has a long and proud history with the Clipsal 500 and we’re pleased to continue that association into 2015,” said Warren.
“The Dunlop Series comprises four South Australian based teams, who will once again have the opportunity to kick-start their season in front of a passionate home crowd.
“Since the completion of last year’s race we have worked hard to create a race schedule that will ensure as much on track entertainment, action and excitement for our fans as possible.”
The full Dunlop Series calendar is yet to be unveiled.
The event has also agreed a new naming rights deal with electrical brand Clipsal until the end of 2017.
