Will Davison’s Erebus Motorsport Mercedes will sport primary backing from home appliance brand Beko for the remainder of the 2014 season.
Erebus has unveiled a new livery for its #9 E63 AMG at the team’s Queensland Raceway test today, along with the Erebus Team Beko name for the entry.
Beko has stepped up its support for the outfit ahead of the Pirtek Enduro Cup, having earlier acted as the major sponsor on Davison’s car for the opening events of the season.

“Beko has been great supporters of Erebus Motorsport since late 2012 and the Beko brand is performing very well internationally so it is extremely pleasing that they have taken a strategic step in their partnership with the team to the next level for the remainder of the year,” said Erebus CEO Ryan Maddison.
“Last year our team’s best results were achieved during the endurance series and given the improvements we have made during the first half of this year, we are motivated in the prospects of what lies ahead over the coming months.’’
The Beko announcement follows last month’s signing of bonnet sponsor MEX Maintenance Software for the rest of the year.
The team’s second entry, driven by Lee Holdsworth, remains without a major sponsor, although will see a return of Fuchs lubricants to its bonnet for the Pirtek Enduro Cup.
Team co-drivers Alex Davison and Craig Baird have joined their respective entries for today’s test at the Ipswich venue.
The pre-Enduro Cup hit-out is an especially important one for Erebus, which continues to evaluate key engine upgrades ahead of the Wilson Security Sandown 500.
The squad’s latest specification engine will run in Lee Holdsworth’s car today, but will be campaigned in both entries at Sandown if given the all-clear by the team and V8 Supercars.
Davison and Holdsworth currently sit 13th and 17th in the championship standings heading to the September 12-14 Sandown event.
