A revamp of the Australian GT Championship for 2014 has seen the marquee Bathurst 12 Hour and Clipsal 500 Adelaide events fall off the calendar.
The AGTC had rejoined the Bathurst 12 Hour this year, with the first 60 minutes of the once-around-the-clock classic counting for points.
The release of the new schedule officially confirms that such a scheme will not take place again.
A statement from the category noted that subsequently missing Adelaide will allow GT owners contesting Bathurst extended time to refurbish their cars for the start of the AGTC season.
Twilight racing in Adelaide had been the signature AGTC event over the last three years, with the winner awarded the Murray Walker Trophy.
Adelaide is one of several street venues that is understood to have been targeted for twilight racing by V8 Supercars.
Maintaining its current six round total, next year will see two AGTC rounds held with the Shannons Nationals and three with the V8 Supercars.
Two rounds will be contested over 101 lap races; the first at Phillip Island and the second at a to-be-confirmed venue.
A return to Tony Quinn's own Highlands Park facility is the most likely fill for the TBA slot, although may depend on the success of the inagural event next month.
