Australian motor racing has lost one of its most respected racetrack administrators with the death of Mick Ronke.
At the coalface of racetrack promotion and with the best interests of motor racing at heart, Ronke was highly regarded in the industry.
Ronke was synonymous with the Winton circuit in Victoria's north-east where he served as chief executive at the time of his passing.
Well-wishers began flooding social media with tributes.
