V8 Supercars to introduce Endurance Cup
V8 Supercars will reward the highest points scoring drivers over the Sandown, Bathurst and Gold Coast V8 Supercars events with an ‘Endurance Cup’ title, according to a report in the Daily Telegraph.
The concept is set to be announced by V8 Supercars today in a move that will confirm the end of the Armor All Gold Coast 600′s international co-driver format.

Under the new rules, teams will be allowed to run the same co-driver in all three events for the first time since 2010.
The development also marks the first time since 1991 that the Australian touring car year will formally recognise its highest-achieving endurance drivers.
The changes come in what is the final year of V8 Supercars’ current contract with the Queensland government to stage the Surfers Paradise street race.
While the changes will see an influx of local co-drivers into the Gold Coast event, a handful of internationals, including Mika Salo and Ryan Briscoe, are expected to tackle all three.
