Triple Eight Racing Engineering’s new era under the banner of Red Bull Racing Australia is officially underway.
The sponsor has today launched its social media campaign under the RBRA name, releasing the first of what is expected to be a series of quirky videos. The second, a team “welcome video”, will follow tomorrow.
The team’s official launch will take place in Sydney on February 14th ahead of the weekend’s official pre-season test at Sydney Motorsport Park.
Triple Eight currently has its fleet of the new-generation V8 Supercars under construction in its Banyo, Queensland, headquarters, for RBRA and its two customer teams Tekno Autosports and Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport.
The team will complete a single private test using the yet-to-be-revealed VF Holden Commodore bodywork in a testing livery three days prior to the team launch.
Red Bull’s sponsorship of Triple Eight follows the team’s six-year partnership with troubled telecommunications outfit Vodafone.
