The ownership of Ford Performance Racing has changed, with current V8 Supercars team owner Rod Nash and businessman/racer Rusty French buying the factory Ford team from Prodrive.

The Nash/French acquisition will see the pair take over ownership of the team’s two Racing Entitlements Contracts (subject to V8 Board approval) and cars and racing infrastructure.

The recently-expanded four-car team’s make-up will remain largely unchanged, remaining as the factory Ford team. That deal expires at the end of this year.

The two Nash/French entries (for Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison) will be joined by the Rod Nash Racing (David Reynolds) and Charlie Schwerkolt’s CS Racing entry (Alex Davison).

FPR enjoyed its most successful year on-track, with Mark Winterbottom and Will Davison finishing third and fourth in the V8 Supercars Championship.

While the team is on a high, will the sale of the team have an affect on its performances?
