Some of Australia's motorcycling legends will descend on Taree on Saturday, January 19 for the inaugural Troy Bayliss Classic international dirt flat track event at Taree Motorcycle Club, Old Bar.
The triple world Superbike Champion has attracted three times World Speedway Champion, Jason Crump, World Supersport Champion, Chris Vermeulen and former Motocross and Supercross Australian Champion, Dan Reardon to compete in the event with more big names expected to be confirmed.
The Troy Bayliss Classic will be a feature of the meeting, with numerous other classes from juniors right through taking part on the afternoon at the track where Bayliss cut his teeth, commonly known as ‘Old Bar' in motorcycling circles.
The 16 special guest riders participate in a number of races and super pole shootout style events.
“The riders come from all different styles of motorcycle racing and have all excelled in their chosen disciplines be it motocross, enduro, road racing, super motard, speedway, flat track or supercross,” said Bayliss.
“It's going to be awesome to see the likes of Jason Crump & Chris Vermeulen up against someone equally as skilled in their own discipline, all on a level playing field.”
Plenty of on and off track entertainment is being prepared, with the event being designed to be family friendly and allow fans to interact closely with the big names on hand.
