Skaife defends Puke upgrade as backer announced for Auckland 400

Former champion Mark Skaife has defended the upgrades and modifications to the Pukekohe circuit.

Skaife, the chairman of the V8 Supercars Commission, was talking about the Aussie categories return to the south Auckland circuit next year for the first time since 2007.

The former champion driver’s call comes after confirmation that the Auckland 400 will carry ITM, the national building supply group, as its major backer.
