Network Ten will air a special tribute to Casey Stoner after this weekend's AirAsia Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island.
In what will be Stoner's final MotoGP race on home soil, Ten Sport will honour the two-time world champion's achievements with a special production titled Casey Stoner – The Final Lap.
The production will air on Monday, October 29, at 9.30pm AEST.
After a season plagued by injury, Stoner is aiming for six wins-on-the-trot at the Phillip Island track this weekend.
The production will take a look at the stellar career the factory Honda rider and what led to his early retirement.
Network Ten commentator Greg Rust says that the revealing documentary is a must-watch for all sports fans.
“We have followed Casey since the very beginning of his international racing career, from the days when he and his family were doing it tough living in a bus in the UK, right through to his two world championship wins and his decision to retire,” Rust said.
“We have found some terrific content while putting this documentary together including an interview conducted by the late Barry Sheene when Casey was just 15 years old.”
The one hour special will feature interviews with Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Nicky Hayden, Dani Pedrosa, Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Craig Lowndes, Jamie Whincup, Mark Webber and a variety of people that influenced Stoner's motorcycling life and career.
The AirAsia Australian MotoGP kicks off with practice this Friday.
