The Cape Motorsports with Wayne Taylor Racing drivers finished second and third behind the winner Scott Anderson.
Brabham said that he was pleased to maintain his title lead.
“Things were a bit exciting at the beginning, and I had a good dice with Spencer for second for a while,” Brabham said of his race.
“I don’t think we had the right set-up today and I really had a bad understeer that got worse as the race went on. However it was fantastic to get the lead back in the championship, and I am sure the fight with Spencer will go down to the last race.”
The next round of the Championship is at Baltimore with the IZOD IndyCars on Sep 1 – 2.
