James Davison will make his second start in the Grand-Am Series at Watkins Glen this weekend.
The 26-year-old will compete in the Team MBR #46 Corvette, driving with team owner Mike Baughman in a Pro/Am pairing in a two-hour race.
Davison drove with the team two weeks ago at the Indianapolis Motor Speedwy, paired with Indy Lights Series front-runner Sebastian Saavedra and Baughman. The team’s entry was eliminated early in the race when a differential failure left Davison without any race laps.
At Watkins Glen, Davison will qualify and start the race and is confident of a strong showing.
“I am happy to have another chance to race the #46 Corvette,” Davison told Speedcafe.com.
“What happened at the Brickyard was unfortunate and I really look forward to racing the car for the first time at the Glen.”
