Matthew White Motorsport has secured Ford Performance Racing’s #5 and #6 Falcons for the 2013 Dunlop Series.
MWM’s acquisition will see his team’s chassis catalogue bolstered to three current-spec FPR cars, with the new cars adding to the Jaylec Falcon of Tim Blanchard.
White’s team will receive the Orrcon Steel and Trading Post-sponsored cars after this year’s Sydney Telstra 500 and will continue to enjoy a similar level of technical support with the new cars.
The former driver turned team owner says that knowing what cars he will have for 2013 gives him a giant head start for the upcoming season.
“It’s the best position we’ve been in,” White told Speedcafe.com.
“The biggest part for us is that we’ll have three cars in the same specification. At the moment, the two cars that we are running have no cross over information. To have three identical cars, it will help on all levels of our organisation.
“Normally, at this point of time we’re in survival mode. Now we’re in a position to ensure we get the best drivers we can that we know can do the car justice.”
MWM’s 2012 Dunlop Series form sees its drivers Luke Youlden and Tim Blanchard placed fifth and seventh respectively.
The next Dunlop Series round will be held at Queensland Raceway in three weeks time.
