Jonathon Webb has given the newly-named, recently extended Sydney Motorsport Park his tick of approval.
The Tekno Autosports V8 Supercars driver drove a Radical sportscar around the full 4.5km track – the first person to complete laps around the layout in a race car.
“I think it’s amazing. I think the track was already an amazing facility, and now to have this massive expansion is brilliant,” Webb said.
“I’m looking forward to the track cleaning up, getting some more rubber down and we can get out here and race in the next couple of months.”
The track now includes four different circuit configurations and two separate pit facilities, allowing the venue to hold two simultaneous race meetings.

While Webb spoke highly of the full length track, V8 Supercars is yet to confirm which layout it will use for its return to the track in late August.
Speedcafe.com understands that the V8 Supercars are considering using the traditional ‘GP’ layout, leaving out the extended section of the race track.
