Garry Rogers Motorsport has completed its end-of-season young driver test at Winton Motor Raceway today.
Newly crowned Australian Formula Ford Champion Cameron Waters, Fujitsu V8 Supercars driver Scott McLaughlin, former Australian Formula 3 Champion Tim Macrow and former Australian Formula Ford Champion Paul Laskaszeski all enjoyed several stints across the day.
The quartet drove GRM's spare chassis while the regular #33 Commodore is repaired following the collision between Lee Holdsworth and Paul Dumbrell at the recent Sydney Telstra 500.
All four young drivers are understood to be possible candidates for the seat vacated by IRWIN Racing-bound Holdsworth, while several more experienced pilots including Alex Davison, Daniel Gaunt and David Russell also remain in the frame.
A fifth driver stepped aboard car #33 today, with GRM mechanic Ryan Millier also enjoying time behind the wheel.
The team is expected to hold its 2012 launch on February 10 – the day prior to Sandown's official pre-season test.
