After scoring his maiden win at Coffs Harbour, Steve Shepheard gets back in the fight this week at the final round of the 2011 BOSCH Australian Rally Championship in Victoria.
The SACHS team is mathematical chance at winning the series, but the team will just run their own event, aiming to win, and see what happens with the series front runners Ryan Smart & Justin Dowel.
“Winning our first ARC round in front of such a huge crowd was just amazing.
“The Victorian event has amazing flowing roads, a lot like some of the Coffs stages actually, roads that reward really fast attacking driving.”
“But like any competitor, once the celebrations die down, you just itch to get back behind the wheel … so Rally Victoria can’t come soon enough.”
The SACHS Rally Team has been over the car top to bottom since the win, including a bit more engine development on the Evo X.
“We have found a few more horses to stuff under bonnet and that suits the Victorian flowing roads,” said team principal, George Shepheard.
Rally Victoria jumps to life on Friday at Lardner Park on the outskirts of Warragul.
