Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez have been handed three-place grid penalties for Sunday's Indian race after driving infringements in Practice 1.
The New Delhi stewards confirmed that the McLaren and Sauber drivers ignored double waved yellow flags at the Buddh International Circuit, costing the pair vital grid spots.
Both drivers were nabbed in the final moments of the opening practice session when they failed to slow down sufficiently after Pastor Maldonado's Williams was stranded at Turn 16 with engine failure.
Hamilton ended the session as the fastest, while Perez was down in 14th.

In other grid place penalties, Renault's Vitaly Petrov will start five spots lower than his qualifying place after his collision with the Mercedes of Michael Schumacher in Korea two weeks ago.
