The fifth episode of the IRWIN Tools Endurance Countdown looks at Jack Daniel's Racing – the two black Commodores within Kelly Racing's four car stable.
Speedcafe.com's Grant Rowley is joined by Supercheap Auto Racing endurance driver Jack Perkins, alongside V8 Supercars Championship commentator Chris Jewell to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each team leading into the L&H 500 Phillip Island and Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
In the #7 JDR car, Todd Kelly will be hoping to turn around arguably his worst V8 Supercars season of all time. Kelly will be teamed with Fujitsu Series standout David Russell, and if everything is right on the day, look for these guys to spring a surprise.
For the sister #15 JDR Commodore, the only surprise will be if it is not somewhere inside the top five. Rick Kelly has enjoyed a solid 2011 V8 season, currently running fourth in the title standings. With two wins under his belt, he is sure to be a podium threat. Rick Kelly will be partnered by Owen Kelly, who has recently been keeping race fit in NASCAR and Grand-Am competition.
Will everything come together for Jack Daniel's Racing in the two biggest races of the year?
