Allan Jarvis and Steve Robinson have shared the wins in the fourth round of the Australian Swift Racing Series at Morgan Park today.
Jarvis took the win in the first race this morning in the reverse grid race, with the main challenge coming from Mackay teenager Morgan Haber. After finishing behind Jarvis in Saturday’s Race 1, Haber was intent on getting one result back, but a bead departed from one of his tyres, ruling him out. This allowed Robinson into second with Brooke Leech having a battle right to the end with Peter McLeod to claimthird and fourth respectively.
The final 12 lap race and round points leader Allan Jarvis and Steve Robinson off the front row. Jarvis made a small break before Robinson reeled him in after a tiny mistake from Jarvis to take his maiden race win.
Haber took third place ahead of Rob Jarvis, Peter McLeod and Brooke Leech.
Despite his mistake in the final race, Allan Jarvis took his maiden round win, while Robinson was second overall ahead of Brooke Leechm who claimed her first podium in third.
Round 5 of the Australian Swift Racing Series will be held at Sandown International Raceway on September 9-11.
