Karting ace Matt Wall’s plans for a kart circuit race within the Calder Park Thunderdome are coming to fruition.
Wall has mapped out a proposed layout, pictured, and has set a tentative date of January 28 next year.

The kart meeting is set to be run over a single day, with practice in the morning, races in the day and finals at night, under lights.
Wall says that he is expecting some big fields for the one-off event.
“We can have as many as 50 karts in each class, so we really want to get everyone involved,” he said.
“We’re also looking to get some big name celebrities into karts for the race as well. As long as there’s no clash with any V8 meetings, I’ve had assurances from a couple of drivers that they’ll race there.
“Being such a unique track and event, I’m confident we can get over 150 entrants across the six classes.”
